A Centre County sanitation company has been issued a repeat citation in the wake of one of their worker’s deaths earlier this year. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued another fine to the company, which is similar to one the company received after 38-year-old Nathan Kerstetter, who was employed by Newman Hill, was killed while riding on the back of the truck. Kerstetter was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering blunt force trauma after the truck backed into a tree. Following an investigation into his death, OSHA handed down a fine of $16,000 to Newman Hill for a safety violation. This latest citation, which also carries a fine of $16,000, is reportedly similar to the one issued after Kerstetter’s death. Authorities are not saying what prompted this latest investigation.
