Students at the Moshannon Valley School District in Clearfield County were sent home early yesterday, after police received a report that a high school student had a weapon in his possession. The 15-year-old male was taken into custody after it was discovered he had a box cutter in his backpack. The teen was released to Clearfield County Juvenile Probation. After the incident, an email went out to parents and families that students can no longer carry backpacks or bags during school.
