A 50-year-old Tyrone man has been charged with possessing child pornography. Ronald Gummo was charged with 14 felony counts of possessing child porn and possession of an instrument of crime. Reportedly, the Office of the Attorney General received an alert from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a complaint about a child exploitation incident in Pennsylvania. An investigation ultimately led authorities to a home on Hayes Street in Tyrone where Gummo reportedly lived with others. After confiscating a computer, and Gummo’s phone, agents said 14 photos of what appeared to be children under the age of ten were found. Gummo has been placed in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 1st.
