An Altoona cat rescue is in desperate need of donations and volunteers to keep its operation going. Second Chance Strays Cat Rescue and Lounge are currently closed until the end of the year, because of a lack of volunteers, and their rescue is at triple the capacity with 300 cats. In an effort to encourage more people to adopt, adoption fees have been lowered to $50 until the end of the year. Three local businesses are helping out by starting a donation drive beginning today. Heritage Pizza, The Clay Cup and the Beauty Box Styling Salon, in downtown Altoona, each have a small donation box inside their businesses for donations. The lounge is also in need of food and litter, and as a reminder Second Chance Strays Cat Rescue and Lounge has an Amazon Wish list.
