The White House says President Biden has signed a bill increasing the amount of secret service protection for presidential candidates following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. The new law gives Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris the same protections as President Biden. The Enhanced Presidential Security Act was introduced following the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler County in July, and recently passed through Congress with unanimous support.
