Jurors in Somerset County came back with their verdicts on a defendant charged in a child rape case. Prosecutors say that 56-year-old Michael Merringer Sr., from Shade Township, committed his crimes over a period of more than a decade — ending in 2010. Merringer was found guilty on 33 counts last Friday including charges of child rape and sexual assault. Merringer is being held at the Somerset County Prison while he awaits sentencing.
