A 57-year-old Northern Cambria man has been charged after allegedly stealing over $60,000 from an elderly female member of his family.  Richard Solnosky was charged after police were contacted by the Cambria County Area Agency on Aging on reports of financial exploitation of an older/care dependent person on March 14th.   Through an investigation, authorities discovered Solnosky, who was the acting attorney for the family member, allegedly was the one who intentionally used funds for things other than caring for the elderly woman.  While Solnosky was using the family members account for his own personal needs, the family member’s bills were going unpaid, with most of her services sending shut-off notices.  The agency informed police that in total, the elderly woman lost around $60,000 between her savings and checking accounts.  Solnosky is facing one felony charge of financial exploitation of an older adult or care-dependent person.  He was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.  His preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 5th.
