There are reports today that a member of the Altoona Area High School girls soccer team reportedly was killed early yesterday morning in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on the 10th Avenue Expressway near 9th Street. Officials are not releasing the victim’s name or details of the crash at this time. Reportedly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Blair County Coroner Ray Benton. There were two other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the accident, but it is unknown if they were injured or not. An investigation is underway.
