Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt says the discovery of thousands of fake voter registration applications in Lancaster County shows the state’s elections are secure. Schmidt said election officials are building safeguards in the voter registration process and they are working. The county announced last Friday that about 25-hundred applications were flagged for inaccuracies and not processed. The DA’s Office said the applications appeared to be from a canvassing effort.
