A man whose burned body was found earlier this week along Route 56 (Haws Pike) near the Cambria County line has been identified as 54-year-old Barry Senior Jr., of Adams Township. Fire crews were dispatched to the area early Wednesday morning for a brush fire and discovered his body at that time. Authorities say Senior’s body was located over a guardrail and had been intentionally set on fire. Investigators say Senior died a “very violent death.” Reportedly his vehicle was found, broken down, in another county. Investigators say another individual, who is not being identified, was found with the vehicle and is currently in custody on an unrelated matter. Police are asking the public in the Johnstown and Cambria County areas to check any home surveillance to help narrow down a timeline of Senior’s whereabouts prior to his death.
