Supervisors with Antis Township have recently proposed a 0.25-mill property tax increase as part of the tentative budget for next year. If approved, the proposed increase would take real-estate taxes in the township to 1.25 mills, which means $43 dollars would be added to the bill of property assessed at $179,000. Reportedly, the proposed increase has to do with inflation, the need to replace a truck fleet, and a reluctance to raise millage in the past. The budget will be voted on next month.
