Many local residents lined the street yesterday morning to honor local veterans in the annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Altoona. Veterans from across the generations were honored. Many families brought their children to the event to teach them the value of honoring our country’s vets. Also on hand were marching bands, baton twirlers, floats, community leaders and local law enforcement. Yesterday’s parade was broadcast live on WRTA.
