A Latrobe woman has been arrested for the 2023 death of a Johnstown business owner.  Arrested was 53-year-old Tami Shafer, who has been charged in the death of 65-year-old Lance Ross, owner of the Johnstown Freight Station bar and restaurant.  In February of last year, police were called to the restaurant for reports of a fall injury involving Ross. Authorities say Ross was transported to the hospital with severe injuries and later died.  An autopsy reportedly showed he died from multiple blunt force injuries to the head and neck.  During the investigation, police reviewed surveillance cameras which showed Shafer repeatedly entering and exiting the business.  Investigators say Shafer allegedly made comments about Ross’ injuries claiming someone “beat the hell out of him and murdered him.”  Shafer is facing charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and other related counts.  She is currently in the Cambria County Prison.  Bail has been denied.
