An Altoona man who had earlier been accused of armed robbery is now facing arson charges after he allegedly set a truck on fire. Thirty-three-year-old Timothy Bogle reportedly set fire to the back of a truck trailer, owned by “Dutch Hauling” in Altoona, on October 7th. Bogel then stole a truck from the hauling company and used it to allegedly rob a convenience store in Huntingdon County on that same night. Later that evening, he led officers on a high-speed chase that eventually ended after he crashed. Along with charges for armed robbery, Bogel is now charged with aggravated arson, risking catastrophe and theft. He remains in the Blair County Prison with bail set at $250,000. His preliminary hearing is slated for December 5th.
