Thanksgiving travel is already underway, with Triple-A predicting that around 80 million people will venture at least 50 miles from home between today and next Monday. Some travelers will be heading off into rainy weather and heavy snow, so packing patience is recommended. The busiest travel times by highway is today and tomorrow between 1-7 p.m. While most holiday travelers will be hitting the roads to get where they’re going, the TSA expects to screen 18-point-three million airline passengers between today and the Monday after Thanksgiving. More than 204,000 Pennsylvanians are expected to take to the skies this year, a 3.2% increase over last year. If those numbers pan out, it would be the busiest Thanksgiving travel period on record.
