More details have been released regarding a shooting that claimed the life of a 17-year-old Greater Johnstown High School student.  Arrested was 17-year-old Kaden Woodring who reportedly shot the female with a rifle at a home on Sheridan Street in Johnstown.  The shooting occurred just before midnight on Sunday.  Police say witnesses told them that Woodring pointed the rifle at the female and pulled the trigger.  Woodring then allegedly fled the home but was later taken into custody after calling authorities.  The victim had arrived at the home to pick up two individuals who were inside when Woodring allegedly pointed the rifle at her and said, “you know I’m playin?” before discharging the weapon. Authorities say the rifle Woodring used, reportedly was stolen, and had been given to him several weeks prior to the fatal shooting.  The rifle and the shell casings have not been found as they were reported to have been moved by another juvenile.  Woodring faces criminal homicide and aggravated assault charges.  He remains in the Cambria County Prison where bail has been denied.  The death of the young woman has sent shockwaves through the school.  Grief counselors have been made available to help students process the tragedy.
