For our latest “Local Song of the Week,” we spotlight the Central Pennsylvania Youth All-Star Band, a group of musical teenagers assembled by the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall Of Fame. Last year, the group – consisting of Addi Grace, Amani Weary (of Before The End), Carmine Gontz, Noah Gibney, Faith Noel, Alex Lee Warner, Levi Dickinson, and Ethan Valentine – recorded a cover of “Baba O’Riley” by The Who at Atrium Audio in Rock Lititz. This recording earned a lot of accolades, including more than 50,000 views on YouTube, as well as praise from one of the original song’s creators – none other than Roger Daltrey of The Who! (Pete Townshend’s Facebook page also praised and shared the song’s video.) The Central Pennsylvania Music Hall Of Fame recently posted a video that Daltrey sent to them sharing his enthusiasm about the recording and the heart that these young musicians invested into their performances!
