Pennsylvania State Police are providing an update on the efforts to find a woman who is believed to have fallen into a sinkhole in Westmoreland County. Officials believe 64-year-old Elizabeth Pollard may have fallen into the sinkhole, which is connected to an old mine, in Unity Township, on Monday night, while she was searching for her lost cat. State Police are now calling the search a recovery mission and sadly have said it will take a miracle to find her alive. Authorities have vowed to continue the search until Pollard is found. Police added they have not heard any sounds coming from the hole, and that the roof of the mine had collapsed in several places and was not stable.
