An unknown donor has reportedly come forward and offered the city of Altoona millions to replace Prospect Pool. According to this morning’s Altoona Mirror a plan has been devised, since the donor came forward, which calls for the city to raise about $1.5 million and the donor to fund the rest. Cost of the project is reported to be anywhere from $4.5 to $5 million. It is hoped construction on the pool might begin after swimming season ends next year.
