Winter Weather Impacting Region

winter

A winter storm is impacting parts of the state.  A Lake Effect Snow warning remains in effect until tomorrow particularly for Cambria, Somerset and Clearfield Counties.  Some areas could see 4-8 inches.  There is also a wind advisory in effect for much of the state, including Central and Western Pennsylvania.  Winds could gust up to anywhere from 45-55 mph.  The wind advisory is in effect from 1-7 pm today.  Also, some roads are slippery, and be prepared for snow squalls.  PennDOT road crews have been out since yesterday working to treat surfaces.  Exercise caution as you travel today.
