A longtime equipment manager for the Pittsburgh Steelers has passed away.  The team announced that Tony Parisi died last Thursday at the age of 91.  Parisi worked closely with players, starting in 1965, through the “Steel Curtain” era, all the way up until 1996.  Steelers President Art Rooney the Second says Parisi would personally make pads for players if they couldn’t find one they needed, and he would be the one to figure out which shoes would work best for certain conditions on the field.  He was one of the 20 people to receive the very first Awards of Excellence at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
