Mangione’s Manifesto Found

luigi

Luigi Mangione, the suspect wanted for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson last week in New York City, and apprehended in Altoona yesterday, reportedly raged over healthcare insurance companies in a rambling manifesto.  According to the New York Post, Mangione said the insurance industry only cared about “immense profit” at the expense of Americans.  He cited UnitedHealthcare as one of the largest companies in the U.S.  Altoona Police allegedly discovered the manifesto along with a 3D-printed gun and silencer, a loaded Glock magazine and fake ID’s.  Reportedly, his family reported him missing last month, after he lost touch with them, following back surgery he had done several months ago.  His family, who is a prominent Maryland real estate family, had been trying to find him for some time. There are reports that Mangione’s back pain was chronic, and his surgery required having four pins placed in his spine.  His family has released a statement saying they were “shocked and devastated” in the wake of his arrest. They went on to say that they offer prayers to the family of UnitedHealthcare CEO, Brian Thompson.
