In Pennsylvania, Pizzelles are the most popular food item this year. Pizzelles originate from Italy and are described as a waffle like cookie which can either be crispy and crunchy or soft and chewy. In other states, foods like crab legs were the most popular in Alaska, prime rib took the top spot in Idaho, and Gumbo was the favorite in Louisiana.
