A Morrisdale man is behind bars today after an investigation into allegations he secretly recorded a juvenile female inside his home. Arrested was 35-year-old Timothy Smeal. In May, the victim told authorities she discovered a hidden cellphone inside a bedroom at Smeal’s home, while she was changing. During a months-long investigation police say they seized 17 devices from Smeal’s possession, including 16 cellphones and one tablet. Authorities say dozens of images and videos were discovered on the devices, including several of the victim in different stages of undress. Smeal was arraigned on Sunday on nearly two dozen counts of child pornography and other related counts. He has been placed in the Clearfield County Prison on $250,000 bail.
