Penn State head coach James Franklin says the current state of the transfer portal is putting players in a “no-win situation.” Franklin said the timing of the open transfer portal during the postseason creates an untenable issue for players. He made the comments after backup quarterback Beau Pribula announced on Sunday that he is entering the portal, meaning he cannot play for the Nittany Lions in the College Football Playoff. Franklin said Pribula did not want to leave State College until the end of the season, but was put in an impossible position.
