An Altoona teen, accused in the death of an Altoona High School student, in a drunk driving incident in October, has waived his right to a preliminary hearing, sending all charges against him to the court of common pleas. Nineteen-year-old Jared Detwiler is facing numerous charges, including vehicular homicide while DUI, in the death of 17-year old Lundyn Treese, who was a passenger in his truck when the crash occurred. The crash happened in October along the 10th Avenue Expressway in Altoona. Yesterday, Detwiler waived his preliminary hearing at the Blair County Courthouse. Detwiler is scheduled for a formal arraignment on January 24th.
