Penn State is moving on to the Quarterfinal Round of the College Football Playoff. The sixth-seeded Nittany Lions blew out Number-11 SMU 38-10 from Beaver Stadium on Saturday. PSU squares off against third-ranked Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium from Glendale, Arizona on New Year’s Eve. Game begins at 7:30 and will be carried on ESPN. The winner will advance to play Number-2 Georgia or seventh-ranked Notre Dame in the Semifinal Round.
