A Florida woman is behind bars after she allegedly assaulted a Pennsylvania State Police Officer at a vape shop in Portage Borough earlier this week. Police say 33-year-old Veronica Barrett of Clermont, Florida was reportedly acting erratically in the store and became very agitated when authorities arrived on the scene. She reportedly resisted arrest, assaulted a state trooper, and attempted to reach for his service weapon. Barrett has been arraigned on numerous charges, and is currently in the Cambria County Prison. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 31st.
