A Somerset County man will spend decades in prison after being found guilty in a child rape case. Prosecutors say that Michael Merringer Sr. committed his crimes over a period of more than a decade — ending in 2010. The defendant was found guilty on 33 counts in October, including charges of child rape and sexual assault. On Monday, he was given a 25-to-50-year prison sentence.
