The man accused of gunning down the CEO of United Healthcare outside a New York City Hotel, is unlikely to appear in a Manhatten federal court again before mid-February, after both prosecutors and attorneys requested more time to prepare for the case. The lawyers agreed in a letter to the court, that the deadline to bring an indictment against Luigi Mangione, be extended from January 18th to February 17th. Authorities say the 26-year-old Mangione fatally shot Brian Thompson on December 4th, and then fled the scene, but was later apprehended at a McDonald’s in Altoona. In the meantime, there are reports that Mangione went to an expensive gun range in Thailand, just months before he gunned down Thompson. Last month, Mangione pled not guilty to all charges filed against him.
