The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania is stepping down.  Eric Olshan announced yesterday he’s resigning effective Sunday night.  Olshan has been in the position for less than two years after being nominated by President Biden in March of 2023.  One of the most notable events Olshan presided over was the sentencing of Robert Bowers, the man who shot and killed eleven people at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue in 2018.  He’ll be replaced by First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
