AMED Hires New Medical Director

AMED has hired a new medical director.  Replacing Shaun Sheehan, who retired recently for personal reasons, was George Anthony Fidacaro Jr.  Fidacaro is an Emergency Department physician at both UPMC Altoona and Bedford.  A medical director is responsible for making sure all medical providers within the ambulance service have the proper accreditations.  State law requires each ambulance service to have its own medical director.
