A Bedford County animal hoarding case that got a lot of attention last year, is returning to court. Nyal and Renee Piper are accused of hoarding and neglecting nearly 100 dogs, they kept in crates, stacked one on top of the other, in their Bedford home. Today, the two are scheduled for a hearing in Bedford County Court. Animal advocates with the Bedford County Humane Society reportedly will be attending this afternoon’s hearing hoping to find out when they can expect to see the Piper’s stand trial.
