A Clearfield County teen homicide case has been transferred from adult to juvenile court.  Reportedly, Clearfield County President Judge Fredric Ammerman approved the defense’s motion in a case against a 14-year-old boy who is accused of killing 12-year-old Ashlynn Niver.  The boy was initially charged as an adult.  In the meantime, Clearfield County’s District Attorney Ryan Sayers disagreed with the judge’s decision, and has filed an appeal to the state Superior Court.  Last April, the boy was arrested for shooting Niver inside his Brady Township home.  He allegedly asked the girl if the gun was loaded or unloaded before pulling the trigger.  The girl died three days later.
