Bedford County Animal Hoarding Case Heading To Trial

shit

A Bedford County animal hoarding case is set for trial.  Renee and Nyal Piper are accused of hoarding and abusing nearly 100 dogs in their Bedford home, and the case is now headed for trial in June.  The trial dates are scheduled for June 23rd through July 3rd, with jury selection scheduled for the week before.  Reportedly, District Attorney Ashlan Clark said there is a chance the trial could be moved to another county, due to the challenge of trying to find an unbiased jury without prior knowledge of the case.  Both defendants face nearly 400 charges each.  Nearly 100 dogs were found in crates, stacked on top of one another, in their Bedford home, last year.
