An ice storm warning remains in effect for portions of Central Pennsylvania and the Laurel Highlands until noon, and virtually the entire state is under a Winter Weather Advisory. According to the National Weather Service, significant icing has occurred, along with freezing rain and snow accumulations, plus early morning thunder, all of which can lead to hazardous driving. In the meantime, PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commissioners have issued speed restrictions, and no commercial vehicles are permitted. Officials are saying if you don’t have to travel this morning, don’t. For deails on local cancellations and delays, along with road conditions, go to WRTA.com.
