Governor Josh Shapiro signed a bill yesterday meant to help stop the spread of bird flu in Pennsylvania. House Bill 324 allows residents to become certified poultry technicians after completing a state training course. The governor’s office says the bill will help more farm workers become certified, and learn how to keep bird flu from spreading to other flocks. Shapiro said the commonwealth’s proactive approach to the outbreak has helped it avoid the worst so far.
