Weeks after two cases of the highly contagious, Chronic Wasting Disease were confirmed in deer in Luzerne County, the Pennsylvania Game Commission says they have another case. This one is in Carbon County where a property owner reports they found a dead, emaciated adult deer. This animal has also tested positive for the disease. Chronic Wasting Disease is spread directly through animal to animal contact, and is fatal for members of the deer family. A public information session will be held by the Game Commission on February 27th on the Penn State Hazelton campus.
