The weekend brought the discovery of a second egg in the eagle nest at U.S. Steel’s Mon Valley Works Irvin plant in West Mifflin. Eagles Irvin and Stella are minding the nest that captures the attention of observers each year. The season’s first egg appeared early this past Thursday morning. The second egg was laid a little after 8:30 p.m. Sunday night. The nest can be viewed via a live stream by searching IRVIN EAGLES NEST on YouTube.
