A State College man will be spending several years in prison for hiding his dead friend’s body in a trash can after the man fatally overdosed. Fifty-year-old Christopher Hampton and his friend were reportedly traveling back from Ohio in 2022 when the victim overdosed at a gas station. Instead of taking the victim to the hospital, Hampton reportedly drove back to State College, where he dumped the body in a trash can along Oakhurst Lane. Hampton had been charged with abuse of a corpse, and other related counts. He is expected to serve 2 to 12 years behind bars.
