A Cambria County grocery store employee has been jailed for reportedly threatening to carry out a “mass shooting” at his workplace.  Arrested was 25-year-old Dylan Shaffer of Salix.  Shaffer was arrested yesterday after he allegedly made the threats to harm his fellow employees and customers, while playing online videogames on Xbox.  Reportedly, authorities were contacted about the threat, by another gamer who lives in Minnesota.  This individual became concerned after Shaffer allegedly made these comments while the two were gaming.  Police report the alleged conversation between the two was recorded, in the online Xbox chat room, and involved Shaffer’s employer, the Market Basket, located in Richland Township.  The store was briefly closed due to the alleged threats.  Shaffer was arraigned yesterday, and was charged with terroristic threats, and other related counts.  He has been placed in the Cambria County Prison.  Bail has been denied.
