Penn State is considering closing multiple campuses, including the campus in DuBois. University President Neeli Bendapudi announced yesterday that Penn State is reviewing its 12 smallest campuses to determine which can be closed after the 2027 academic year due to declining enrollments and financial issues. The seven biggest Penn State campuses, including Altoona, are protected from consideration. Bendapudi said all students at universities marked for closure will have the opportunity to finish their degree at Penn State.
