A house fire, just outside Roaring Spring, has left one man homeless. The fire, which destroyed the structure, broke out yesterday afternoon at a home located along the 1800 block of Bloomfield Road. When firefighters, with the Friendship Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene, the home was fully involved. Fortunately both the homeowner and his dog were able to escape without injury, however it’s uncertain if a pet cat and rabbit survived the blaze. The fire has been ruled accidental, and is believed to have started at a wood burner. The Red Cross has been called in to help.
