State lawmakers have reintroduced a bill that would fully repeal Pennsylvania’s ban on Sunday hunting. Last year, the bill gained momentum when it passed the Senate, and had preliminary approval in the House, but it ran out of time in the legislative session. This new bill reportedly has a fresh start and broad support. The Game Commission, along with many sportsmen groups, and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, are in support of the bill, which would provide the agency with full authority to set hunting seasons, while providing hunters with more weekend hunting opportunities.
