A 45-year-old Cresson man is facing charges after he allegedly stole over $270-thousand dollars from the Slavish Citizens Club of Lilly. Arrested was Matthew Snyder who is facing charges of theft by unlawful taking, forgery and other related counts. Reportedly last May, the club was contacted by their bank and informed that Snyder had allegedly cashed out a deposit, and forged the signature of the club’s president. Last month, Snyder was interviewed by police and allegedly admitted to stealing from the club. He was arraigned and released on $100,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 15th.
