Extension Granted Regarding Nittany Mall Casino And Ownership Change

Ownership for the Nittany Mall Casino in State College could soon be changing.  Reportedly, the Pennsylvania Gaming Board and the Office of Enforcement Counsel were given a 30 day extension to review the petition.  Six months after Bally’s withdrew from the project, SC Gaming and Saratoga Casino Holdings, signed an agreement to develop and manage the venue.  Since then, a petition has raised a number of legal issues that require more time to be investigated before the new ownership can be approved.  The state will now have until April 11th to make their official response.  The casino is expected to open early next year.
