A 45-year-old Huntingdon County woman is facing numerous charges including theft, after she allegedly stole nearly $700,000 from a former employer. Charged was Kristen Spencer of Dudley. Police say they were contacted earlier this month after Spencer was accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from a medical practice located in Roaring Spring. Authorities report that since 2018, Spencer, who was employed as the office manager of the practice, was given access to the doctor’s credit card account. She reportedly made more than 5,000 transactions on that card for personal use. Spencer was arraigned earlier this week and is facing charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, identity theft, and other related counts. She was released on unsecured bail. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3rd.
