Some Pennsylvania lawmakers have proposed a bill that would allow terminally ill Pennsylvanians, who meet certain criteria, the option of ending their own lives on their own terms. The sponsoring Democratic state representatives, say the bill aims to allow the option to request a prescription that would humanely end the lives of those who are terminally ill. Only patients who have less than six months to live would qualify. Death with dignity laws exists in 10 states, and Washington D.C.
