Democrats are set to reclaim their slim majority in the Pennsylvania House with the projected win of Dan Goughnour.  The McKeesport police captain pulled in over 63 percent of the vote in yesterday’s special election, with Republican Chuck Davis getting support from roughly 35 percent of voters.  Both were in the race to take over the 35th Legislative District seat that was left vacant following the death of state Representative Matt Gergely.  Both Democrats and Republicans have had 101 members in the Pennsylvania House since Gergley’s passing in January.  Goughner will be sworn into office in a week or two after voting results are certified by local elections officials.
