An Altoona man who stole his grandfather-in-laws life savings of two million dollars, pled guilty yesterday, and will now be heading to a state prison.  Thirty-year-old Andrew Booker will spend anywhere from 2-10 years behind bars.  Booker was also ordered to make restitution.  Based on a plea agreement, if the grandfather dies before restitution is complete, Booker is then required to continue making restitution payments to the victim’s children.  In February of 2023 Booker, who lived at the home of his grandfather-in-law, had taken the money from a safe, and spent it on items that included a motorcycle, a truck, and other items.
